England manager Gareth Southgate nominated for FIFA Coach of the Year

Southgate on Coach of the Year shortlist

England boss Gareth Southgate has been nominated for the FIFA Coach of the Year award.

Southgate became the first manager to lead the Three Lions to the semi-finals of the World Cup since Sir Bobby Robson in 1990 after beating Sweden 2-0 in the quarter-finals this summer.

England were knocked out of the competition by a Croatian team coached by Zlatko Dalic, who is also nominated for the award.
