Jack Colback ruled out of England friendly against Norway

England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that midfielder Jack Colback will miss Wednesday's friendly with Norway through injury.

The 24-year-old, who joined Newcastle United from local rivals Sunderland over the summer, is yet to make a senior appearance for the Three Lions.

Despite Colback's absence for tomorrow night's game at Wembley Stadium, he is still in contention for Monday's European Championship qualifier in Switzerland.

Colback has played in all three of Newcastle's Premier League matches so far this season.
