Former England captain David Beckham reveals that he hopes to be picked for the Team GB squad at this summer's Olympics.

Former England captain David Beckham has admitted that he hopes to be called up to the Team GB squad for this summer's Olympics.

Coach Stuart Pearce is allowed to pick three players over the age of 23 for the tournament.

Beckham, 37, was part of a delegation that touched down in Cornwall with the Olympic torch on Friday evening.

When asked if he hopes to make the squad, he told BBC Sport: "I hope so, but I'm proud to be part of it and at the Games, whether playing or as a fan."

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder has won 115 caps for England.
