England Under-21s lead San Marino Under-21s 5-0 at the break in their European Championship qualifier.

England Under-21s are leading San Marino Under-21s 5-0 at the break in their Under-21 European Championship Group One qualifier at Greenhous Meadow.

Gareth Southgate's side dominated the early stages of the match and took the lead after 13 minutes, when Michael Keane converted a loose ball from close range after San Marino had failed to clear a corner.

Raheem Sterling doubled England's lead just two minutes later when he drilled a powerful low drive beyond Andrea Manzaroli.

Danny Ings made it 3-0 in the 18th minute when he converted a Thomas Ince cross from close range.

Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse grabbed England's fourth six minutes later when he bent a free kick past Manzaroli from the edge of the area.

The Three Lions continued to push forward and scored their fifth goal three minutes before the break, when Ince fired past Manzaroli after being picked out by Ings.
