Gary Cahill: 'England don't fear anyone'

England centre-back Gary Cahill has insisted that his side do not fear anyone ahead of the knockout stages at Euro 2016.

The Three Lions gave themselves a tougher route through the tournament by only managing a second-placed finish in Group B following a frustrating goalless draw with Slovakia on Monday.

However, Cahill is happy with the level of the team's performances and believes that they are not far away from turning their chances into goals.

"The way we're playing we shouldn't fear anyone. I definitely feel like we are going to give someone a real beating soon. I hope that we do that," he told reporters.

"We have had six shots against us in the three group games and had over 20 shots ourselves against Slovakia. In terms of possession, dominating the game and creating chances, we have to be pleased.

"But we are also frustrated, we had so much possession in the second half and I have not been involved in such a one-sided game as that for a long, long time. To not get the win at the end is frustrating."

England will face the runners-up from Group F in the last 16, which could see them drawn against Hungary, Iceland, Portugal or Austria.
