Green pulls out of England squad

Robert Green has pulled out of the England squad with an injury and will miss the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales.

The 31-year-old West Ham United goalkeeper has left England boss Fabio Capello with Manchester City’s Joe Hart and Fulham’s David Stockdale to choose from, according to The Independent.

Birmingham City’s Ben Foster ruled himself out of international duty earlier this year for a lengthy break.

The Italian boss is likely to call on Under-21 keeper Frankie Fielding as a replacement.
