England manager Roy Hodgson expresses his concern over the fitness of Gareth Barry ahead of Euro 2012.

England are sweating over the fitness of Gareth Barry after he limped off during the Three Lions' 1-0 win over Norway.

The Manchester City midfielder, who replaced Steven Gerrard at half time, had to be substituted for Jordan Henderson on 73 minutes with a groin complaint.

Meanwhile, there was positive news for England manager Roy Hodgson as Scott Parker, who had been doubtful for Euro 2012 with an Achilles injury, played for 55 minutes with no ill effects.

"Scott's been okay," said Hodgson. "We wanted to give him a bit longer than 45 minutes but at the moment there's no reaction.

"Gareth Barry worried me a bit more, he did feel his groin so we'll have to get that scanned. If it's serious that will give me something to think about as we don't have much time left.

"It's a groin injury that he felt during the course of the game. We'll have to get that scanned and see how it is. I'm not prepared to say it's serious at the moment.

"All I'm going to say is that it's going to demand our attention and as you all know, we don't have a lot of time if the scan shows that there is something more than minor."

Henderson is believed to be first in line to replace Barry in Hodgson's 23-man squad for the European Championships.
