Fran Escriba to remain at Elche

Elche president Jose Sepulcre has insisted that Fran Escriba will remain in charge of the Spanish outfit next season.

Sunday's goalless draw with Barcelona mathematically secured La Liga survival for the club, who were promoted from the Segunda Division last season.

It had been suggested that Escriba would leave in the summer regardless of Elche's fate, but such speculation has been denied by Sepulcre.

"We're very happy with him and he's also very happy at Elche," Inside Spanish Football quotes the club president as saying.

Escriba has been in charge of Elche since 2012.
