Report: English clubs eye Dundee United starlet

Scouts from four Premier League clubs are reported to have watched Dundee United's Ryan Gauld create four goals for his team in Saturday's victory over Partick Thistle.

The 17-year-old - dubbed 'Mini Messi' - has broken into the Terrors' first team this season, scoring four in his 12 appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

Manchester United's interest has already been made public, with the Tannadice club said to be demanding around £6m.

According to The Mirror, the Premier League champions are not the only ones with eyes on the Scotland Under-21 international, with Liverpool, Newcastle United and Everton also keeping tabs on his progress.
