Derby County succeed with third Johnny Russell bid?

Dundee United have reportedly accepted a third offer from Championship outfit Derby County for striker Johnny Russell.

The Rams are believed to have recently seen bids of £625,000 and £700,000 rejected for the 23-year-old, who has 12 months left to run on his current contract at Tannadice.

However, having submitted another financial package today, Derby has received a positive response from their Scottish counterparts, according to BBC Scotland.

Italian side Catania, as well as Huddersfield Town and Sheffield United, have also seen moves for Russell fall through in recent weeks.
