Wednesday's Scottish Premiership predictions including Kilmarnock vs. Rangers

Dundee Utd vs. Hibernian (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Two teams separated by just one place in the Scottish Premiership will match-up on Wednesday night as Dundee United host Hibernian at Tannadice Park.

The hosts are fourth in the standings with 40 points from 27 outings, while the visitors are fifth in the table with 37 points from their 27 games played.

We say: Dundee United 1-2 Hibernian

While the hosts snapped their losing run with a win last time out, the visitors have been in remarkable form over the past weeks, unbeaten in their last 13 across all competitions, leading us to expect a win for Hibernian.

Hearts vs. St Mirren (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Two sides battling for a top-six finish in the Scottish Premiership will do battle on Wednesday night as Hearts host St Mirren at Tynecastle Park.

The hosts are seventh in the standings with 33 points from 27 games played, while the visitors are sixth in the table with 34 points from their 27 fixtures.

We say: Hearts 2-1 St Mirren

Both Hearts and St Mirren will be boosted by recent victories, but given the hosts have dominated this fixture in recent history, we expect the Jambos to win here.

Motherwell vs. Dundee (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Motherwell welcome Dundee to Fir Park on Wednesday for an important game at the bottom end of the Scottish Premiership table.

The visitors currently sit in the relegation playoff spot, while their hosts are four points better off following five consecutive league defeats.

We say: Motherwell 2-1 Dundee

Hoping to feel a boost in their first home game under new management, we back Motherwell to come out on top in Wednesday's six-pointer at Fir Park.

St Johnstone vs. Ross County (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Looking to climb into the top half before the Scottish Premiership splits, Ross County will travel to take on bottom-of-the-table St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday.

The Saints will hope to avoid a third consecutive defeat in midweek, but the Staggies will know that anything less than three points against the relegation favourites would be a failure.

We say: St Johnstone 0-1 Ross County

Given that no team have netted fewer than St Johnstone and Ross County in the Scottish Premiership this season, expect a low-scoring game on Wednesday.

That being said, the Staggies will see this match as a must-win if they are to make it into the top six before the league splits, so expect them to go all out for the three points.

Kilmarnock vs. Rangers (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Two teams at opposing ends of the Scottish Premiership table will come together on Wednesday night as relegation-threatened Kilmarnock host Rangers at Rugby Park.

The hosts are ninth in the table but just four points above the drop zone, while the visitors are second in the table with 56 points from 27 matches.

We say: Kilmarnock 0-2 Rangers

Rangers should be extremely motivated to bounce back from their recent defeat with a convincing victory, and given their strong record in this fixture, we expect the visitors to win here.
