Three out, two stay at Derby

Derby County this afternoon confirmed that three further players would leave the club, while contract options have been exercised on John Eustace and Jamie Ward for a further year.

The Rams announced the release of five out-of-contract player earlier this month and now three more - goalkeeper Adam Legzdins and midfielders James Bailey and Ben Davies - will have to find new homes this summer.

Eustace and Ward were due to be out of contract this summer but will now stay with the club for at least another season.

Meanwhile, head coach Steve McClaren wants to keep Lee Naylor, with whmo the club are currently in discussions over a new deal.

The Rams missed out on promotion to the Premier League by losing to Queens Park Rangers in the dying moments of Saturday's Championship playoff final.
