Report: Derby County want Ryan Shotton

Derby County are reportedly interested in signing Stoke City defender Ryan Shotton.

The 25-year-old has been with Stoke since 2005, making his first-team debut in 2007.

However, the right-back has largely struggled to hold down a regular spot in the club's first XI and it is understood that he is keen on seeking pastures new this summer.

According to BBC Sport, Derby want Shotton to aid their Championship challenge.

A number of Football League clubs are also believed to be monitoring proceedings.
