Derby County manager Nigel Clough has revealed that he is pleased that the club have extended the loan deal of Chris Martin from Norwich City until the end of the season.
Martin's deal at Pride Park expired last weekend, but after he scored during Derby's 2-1 victory over Leicester City, Clough was eager to seal the services of the Canaries forward for a further six weeks.
The 47-year-old told the club's official website: "We're happy Chris is sticking around and we were delighted to see him score against Leicester last weekend.
"We have been talking to Norwich for around a week now, so it's good to get something sorted.
"We've been very encouraged by what we've seen from Chris and feel there's more to come from him too."
The striker has also enjoyed a loan period at Swindon Town this season.
