Tom Ince picks up Championship Player of the Month

Tom Ince has picked up Championship Player of the Month following his stellar performances for Derby County in April.

The Rams came into the month clinging on to their playoff spot, but Ince's run of five goals in six games has helped Steve McClaren's side consolidate their top-six finish.

County need only a point from their final game of the season - a visit of Reading - to effectively seal their playoff place and keep their hopes of Premier League promotion alive.

Ince, on loan from Hull City, followed up his brace in the thrilling 4-4 draw at Huddersfield Town with a crucial strike in the 3-3 stalemate at Millwall at the weekend.
