Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick has admitted that he is eyeing a regular run in the club's starting lineup after returning to the side last weekend.
The 20-year-old helped Derby record a 3-1 victory over Leeds United after starting the previous two games on the substitutes' bench, and the Republic of Ireland youth international says that he wants to contribute on a regular basis.
Hendrick told BBC Radio Derby: "It has been hard when things weren't going my way and I was not performing as well as I've wanted. I've been beating myself up over it.
"I've played a few games here and there where I've played well, but I want to get more consistency into my game. I'm hoping to get better and better and string a good run of games together now."
Hendrick has scored one goal in 20 appearances for Derby this season.
