Joe Widdowson signs new Dagenham & Redbridge deal

Dagenham & Redbridge have confirmed that Joe Widdowson has agreed a new contract with the League Two club.

The left-back joined the Daggers last November on an initial loan basis from Bury, before he made the move permanent during the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old's deal was due to expire at the end of the month, but he has now committed himself to Victoria Road until 2017.

Widdowson started his career with West Ham United, but he never made a senior appearance for the East Londoners.
