Petr Cech: Czech Republic have learned from mistakes

Cech "determined" to avoid slip-up

Czech Republic and Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has insisted that and his national teammates are "determined" not to be the first team to drop out of the tournament.

The Czechs must win this afternoon's fixture against Greece after succumbing to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Russia on Friday.

"The lessons we learned were not to make unnecessary mistakes and to play more aggressively," said Cech. "They had a lot of space and they have some very good players, so they were able to use that.

"We attacked them too late in the game. We will, of course, play more solidly in defence. The anger has changed into determination to fix the bad start we had."

Poland against Russia complete the second round of Group A matches this evening.
