Report: Alex McCarthy nears Fulham loan

Fulham have reportedly entered into advanced negotiations with Crystal Palace to sign Alex McCarthy on loan.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper has not featured in Alan Pardew's plans too often this season, having made just six appearances in all competitions.

As a result, he is now on the verge of making the switch to Craven Cottage in a bid to secure more regular action, according to the Daily Mail.

It is believed that the departure of McCarthy will pave the way for Palace to sign Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Rob Green.
