Alan Pardew dismisses Tim Krul link

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has insisted that he does not know anything about reports linking him with Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul.

It had been suggested that the Palace boss would approach his former club this summer to sign the Netherlands international.

"There's been no contact between me and Newcastle, or me and the player," Pardew told BBC Sport.

"I don't know where that's come from."

Krul has made 170 appearances for Newcastle since making his debut in 2006.
