Crystal Palace reject Amido Balde speculation

Crystal Palace have rejected speculation that they have made a bid for Vitoria Guimaraes striker Amido Balde.

The newly-promoted Premier League club have been linked with trying to trump Celtic with a bid for the 22-year-old.

"We haven't made an offer," Palace co-owner Steve Parish told the Croydon Advertiser. "It is a total fabrication and we have never heard of him or spoken to his representatives."

Balde scored nine goals in 27 appearances for Vitoria last season.
