Ian Holloway wants to scrap transfer window

Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway wants the transfer window to be scrapped as he 'stresses out' over trying to sign new players.

Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway has called for the transfer window to be scrapped as he 'stresses out' over trying to sign players.

Holloway has repeated his desire to add to his squad in recent weeks, but he has had little luck in bringing any new faces in.

"I am stressed to hell," the 50-year-old is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "Not when I watch my team, not when I'm out on the grass coaching but just trying to say 'Who's this? Where has he come from? What's his name? How do you spell it?'

"The answer is to scrap the window - it's an absolute joke. Do it how we used to do it. Then us people who've just come up might just have a chance of catching some of these big people."

Palace suffered their second consecutive defeat of the Premier League season on Saturday with a 2-1 loss at Stoke City.
