Crystal Palace share four goals with Columbus Crew

Crystal Palace's pre-season schedule continues with a 2-2 draw against Columbus Crew.

Crystal Palace continued their preparations for the new season by playing out a 2-2 draw with Columbus Crew at the Crew Stadium.

It took Columbus just 15 minutes to break the deadlock as Adam Beddell found enough space for himself inside the box to powerfully head home Eric Gehrig's inviting delivery.

The hosts threatened to double their lead on a number of occasions after taking the lead, but it was Palace who found the second goal of the match nine minutes before the break when Glenn Murray nodded in a cross from Yannick Bolasie.

Palace took control of the match in the early stages of the second half, and came close to taking the lead just after the hour mark when Scott Dann's header was cleared off the line.

However, the lead was Palace's just moments later when Jake Gray reacted well to tap in his side's second after Marouane Chamakh had struck the post.

Tony Pulis watched his players denied victory in the closing stages when Daniel Paladini arrived at the back post to head home a late equaliser for Columbus.
