Crystal Palace predicted XI vs. Man United: Possible lineup for Premier League clash

Centre-back crisis? Crystal Palace predicted XI vs. Man United

Crystal Palace are prepared to be without the services of a first-team defender for the remainder of the campaign due to a serious knee injury.

The Eagles travel to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League, looking to bounce back following a 2-1 defeat at home to Brentford last weekend.

Missing the battle with the Bees, Chadi Riad has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury (ACL) in training, ruling him out for the remainder of the campaign.

Head coach Oliver Glasner is down to only three centre-back options ahead of Sunday's trip to the Theatre of Dreams, with Chris Richards, Maxence Lacroix and Marc Guehi set to hold the fort for the visitors.

Whilst Daniel Munoz and Tyrick Mitchell are likely to start once again to complete an unchanged back five for Palace, there could be some alterations in attack.

Scoring just two minutes into his Eagles debut last time out, Romain Esse might have done enough to take Ismaila Sarr's spot in the attacking trio.

Nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for January, in-form Jean-Philippe Mateta has certainly done enough to retain his berth in the side ahead of Eddie Nketiah.

Crystal Palace possible starting lineup: Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Hughes, Lerma, Mitchell; Esse, Eze; Mateta
