Player Ratings: Crystal Palace 2-0 Leicester City

Fraizer Campbell and Mile Jedinak both struck second-half goals as Crystal Palace beat Leicester City 2-0 at Selhurst Park this afternoon.

Following an insipid first-half display, the clash sparked to life early in the second half when Campbell flicked home a Scott Dann header from close range on 50 minutes.

It was two just four minutes later when Jedinak connected with a Jason Puncheon free kick and glanced his header past Kasper Schmeichel.

Goal

Julian Speroni: Pulled off a crucial early save to deny Jamie Vardy. Had very little to do after that. (6/10)

Defence

Martin Kelly: Shackled in-form Leonardo Ulloa superbly along with right-sided centre-half Scott Dann. (7/10)

Scott Dann: Helped render Ulloa a mere spectator throughout the 90 minutes, and got an assist for the first goal. (7/10)

Damien Delaney: Saw his header cleared off the line by Esteban Cambiasso in the first half. Solid defensive display. (6/10)

Joel Ward: Fortunate to stay on the field and not concede a penalty on 80 minutes after dragging down Jamie Vardy in the box. (5/10)

Midfield

James McArthur: Shielded the Palace defence admirably in another impressive performance from the ex-Wigan man. (6/10)

Mile Jedinak: Gave Palace a cushion after glancing a fine header past Kasper Schmeichel shortly after Campbell opened the scoring. (6/10)

Jason Puncheon: Another lively performance from the winger to justify his selection over Wilfried Zaha. Grabbed an assist for the second. (7/10)

Joe Ledley: Tormented the Leicester defence with a number of fine set-piece deliveries. (6/10)

Attack

Yannick Bolasie: Solid, man-of-the-match winning performance for the Eagles, a constant threat on that left flank. (8/10)

Fraizer Campbell: Opened the scoring by flicking home a Scott Dann header but a relatively quiet game overall for the striker. (6/10)

Substitutes

Marouane Chamakh: Replaced goalscorer Campbell on 73 minutes and found himself heavily involved, almost scoring with a header. (6/10)

Adlene Guedioura: Only on for a matter of minutes after replacing Bolasie in stoppage time. (6/10)

LEICESTER CITY

Goal

Kasper Schmeichel: The Dane was more or less blameless for both goals, and pulled off an impressive save in the first half to deny Puncheon. (6/10)

Defence

Ritchie de Laet: Struggled to contain the problematic Yannick Bolasie all afternoon. Tactically subbed just after the hour mark. (4/10)

Wes Morgan: Not as dominant as in previous performances, and conceded the soft free kick that led to Jedinak scoring the second. (5/10)

Liam Moore: Like Schmeichel, can rest easy knowing that neither goal was on him. (6/10)

Paul Konchesky: Found himself under constant pressure from Jason Puncheon but stood up to it better than his Dutch teammate on the other side. (6/10)

Midfield

Danny Drinkwater: Lost the midfield battle against McArthur and Jedinak as his influence greatly dipped in comparison with recent outings. (5/10)

Dean Hammond: Along with Drinkwater, struggled to assert himself in midfield. (5/10)

Esteban Cambiasso: Defensively and offensively sound, produced a goal-line clearance and pulled the strings for Leicester in the first half. Looked disappointed to be subbed. (6/10)

Attack

David Nugent: Missed good chances to open the scoring in either half, the second of which was punished almost instantly as Palace scored very soon after. (4/10)

Jamie Vardy: Spurned the best chance of the game early on and never got another one. Faded badly in the second half. (5/10)

Leonardo Ulloa: Looked a completely different player than the one that struck five goals in recent weeks. Totally isolated. (5/10)

Substitutes

Danny Simpson: Succeeded in combating Bolasie better than De Laet in what was his Leicester debut. Should have started. (7/10)

Riyad Mahrez: Replaced Cambiasso and moved out to the wing but had little impact overall. (4/10)

Matty James: Subbed on for Dean Hammond on 71 minutes but did not provide the link to attack that Leicester so badly needed. (5/10)
