Crystal Palace have been boosted by the news that Scott Dann may only miss a month of action with the knee injury sustained in the 2-0 defeat to Hull City.
The defender was stretchered off in the first half of Palace's Premier League loss at the KC Stadium with what initially appeared to be a serious knee problem.
However, scans on Monday revealed that the 27-year-old's medial damage is only expected to keep him sidelined for between three to four weeks.
The former Blackburn Rovers centre-back will not be available for the visit of Chelsea immediately after the international break, but could be in contention to face West Bromwich Albion on October 25.
Dann has made 20 appearances for the Eagles since joining in the January transfer window.
