Dean Moxey hopeful over hamstring injury

Crystal Palace defender Dean Moxey admits that he is desperate to be fit for Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea following a hamstring injury.

Crystal Palace defender Dean Moxey has revealed that he hopes to be fit for Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea following a hamstring injury.

The 27-year-old was forced off with the problem during the Eagles' 2-0 win over Cardiff City last weekend.

"I've had a scan this morning so it's just about waiting for the results now," Moxey told the club's official website.

"Obviously, Chelsea is one of the games you look forward to at the start of the season, so I just want to be back."

Palace, who are currently in the relegation zone on goal difference, face their local rivals at Stamford Bridge.
