Keith Millen "proud" of players in last match as caretaker manager

Keith Millen hails the Crystal Palace players after they secure a 1-0 win against Hull City in his last match as caretaker manager.

Crystal Palace caretaker manager Keith Millen has said that he is "proud" of the players after his last match in charge ended with a 1-0 win against Hull City.

Palace secured the points with a late goal from Barry Bannan, just moments after Yannick Bolasie had been sent off for a challenge on Jake Livermore.

"I'm so proud of the players today," Millen told BBC Sport. "There is a belief there and they are working so hard for one another."

With Tony Pulis appointed as the club's new manager earlier today, Millen's future is unclear. However, he added that he would "love" to stay at the club.

"I'd love to stay here, hopefully I'll be in Tony Pulis's plans," he added. "I'm sure we'll sit down together and have a lot of discussions about a lot of things over the next few days."

Palace are now off the bottom of the league and are above Sunderland on goal difference.
