How Crystal Palace could line up against West Bromwich Albion

How Crystal Palace could line up against West Brom

Crystal Palace will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur when they continue their Premier League campaign at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.

The Eagles have one of the worst injury situations in England's top flight, with Mamadou Sakho, James McCarthy, James Tomkins, James McArthur, Wayne Hennessey, Nathan Ferguson, Tyrick Mitchell and Nathaniel Clyne all unavailable for selection.

Wilfried Zaha made his return from injury off the bench against Spurs last time out, though, and the attacker is now expected to be handed a spot in the starting XI for this game.

The club's fitness problems mean that head coach Roy Hodgson does not have many options for change, but Jeffrey Schlupp and Jean-Philippe Mateta could both be in contention for starts.

There are not expected to be too many alterations from the defeat to Spurs, though, with Andros Townsend and Eberechi Eze set to retain their spots in the wide areas.

As a result, Zaha's return could come in the final third alongside Christian Benteke, with Jordan Ayew potentially dropping down to the bench.

Scott Dann is an option for change in a defensive area, but Cheikhou Kouyate has impressed alongside Gary Cahill in the middle of the defence and should therefore retain his position.

Crystal Palace possible starting lineup: Guaita; Ward, Kouyate, Cahill, Van Aanholt; Townsend, Milivojevic, Riedewald, Eze; Zaha, Benteke
