Preview: Dover Athletic vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole previews the FA Cup third-round tie between Premier League side Crystal Palace and non-league Dover Athletic.

Crystal Palace could have a new manager in place by the time they travel to Dover Athletic in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Interim head coach Keith Millen revealed at his pre-match press conference that Alan Pardew is likely to pick the side for the Cup tie, despite the manager not officially confirmed as the club's new boss yet.

Millen also insisted that the Premier League side will not be taking their non-league opponents lightly, as they will be naming the strongest side possible to face the Conference Premier side.

Club captain Mile Jedinak will be absent though, as he has joined up with the Australian national side for the Asia Cup, while Yannick Bolasie is away on Africa Cup of Nations duty.

Damien Delaney and James McArthur are also doubts for the match after picking up knocks in the goalless draw with Aston Villa on New Year's Day, but Glenn Murray, Jack Hunt and Adlene Guedioura are all available again after returning from loan spells.

Meanwhile, Dover will be optimistic of causing an upset after extending their unbeaten run to 16 matches in all competitions with a 2-0 win over Welling earlier this week.

Manager Chris Kinnear has said that his side are preparing for this fixture like any other match, despite facing a side that play four divisions above them.

Luton Town midfielder Solomon Taiwo has been linked with another loan spell at the club, so could be available again by Sunday, while goalkeeper Mitch Walker could feature on the bench after returning to training following a lengthy spell out with an elbow injury.

Barry Cogan is likely to pose a threat for the home side, having scored one and created the other in Dover's New Year's Day victory.

This will be the first competitive meeting between the two clubs.
