Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish eyes Europa League qualification

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish claims that the club are capable of becoming regulars in the Europa League.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has claimed that the club can regularly challenge for a place in the Europa League.

The Eagles climbed up to 15th place in the Premier League table on Sunday with a 3-1 win at home to Liverpool.

While admitting that the Champions League is out of reach for Palace, Parish believes that becoming regulars in the Europa League is a more likely possibility in the next few years.

"There's no reason why Palace can't cement itself as a Europa League challenging club," he told the Evening Standard. "The Champions League is really difficult for any club outside the top four or five. You might get the odd wildcard. The next level down - right down to ninth - is very flat now."

Palace continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to high-flying Swansea City.
