Thierry Audel on trial at Torquay United

Crewe Alexandra defender Thierry Audel has joined Torquay United on trial, with a view to moving on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 27-year-old centre-back joined Crewe from Macclesfield Town at the beginning of the season, but has made just one appearance at the Alexandra Stadium.

A number of Football League clubs are believed to be interested in his services, but Audel will spend the next few days with Torquay before a final decision is made.

Audel, who still has 18 months remaining on his deal with Alex, started his professional career with Auxerre before moving to England with Macclesfield in 2013.
