Colchester United sign Elliot Parish

Elliot Parish has signed a one-year contract with Colchester United.

The goalkeeper had been a free agent since the end of last season when he was among a list of 17 players that were released by Blackpool.

However, he has now returned to football at the Colchester Community Stadium, where he has been on trial for much of the summer.

The 25-year-old started his career with Aston Villa and has since had spells with the likes of Cardiff City and Bristol City.
