Team News: Mason Bennett on bench for Chesterfield

Derby County loanee Mason Bennett must wait to make his Chesterfield debut as he is named on the bench for their game with Oxford United in League Two.

Spireites striker Dan Gardener is missing Saturday's fixture with an ankle injury, although the club are hopeful that he will return within the next few weeks.

Deane Smalley will lead the Oxford attack, but he will not be joined up front by Dave Kitson, who limped out of United's 2-1 defeat against Burton last weekend and will miss out again today.

However, caretaker boss Mickey Lewis has opted against including former Irish international David Connolly from the start, instead giving him a place on the bench for the U's.
