Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has revealed that he is "hungry" to be a part of England's World Cup campaign in the summer.
The 28-year-old is yet to represent the Three Lions at a major tournament, having missed Euro 2012 after sustaining a jaw injury in a pre-competition friendly with Belgium.
However, Cahill has set his sights on earning a ticket to Brazil in June and hopes that he can maintain his impressive form for the Blues en route to achieving what would be a "dream come true".
"I've never been to a major tournament with my country, which would be a great honour," he told Sky Sports News.
"I missed out on one last time and I'm more hungry than ever to be a part of it this time.
"I hope I can keep my form going for Chelsea. I hope I can go from strength to strength and become an even better player and therefore be privileged enough to be in the squad to go there, but for me it would be a dream come true."
The centre-back has made 22 appearances for Chelsea so far this term.
