Valencia confirm Chelsea deal for Juan Mata

Valencia have confirmed that a deal for Spanish international Juan Mata has been agreed with Chelsea.

The La Liga side said on their website that they have "reached a preliminary deal with Chelsea FC for the transfer of the football player Juan Manuel Mata".

It is reported that it will cost the Premier League side between £23m and £26m to bring the 23-year-old to Stamford Bridge.

Mata has won 11 caps for his country, including one substitute appearance during their successful 2010 World Cup campaign.
