Chelsea transfer news: Blues 'confident' of signing attacking duo before transfer deadline

'Still confident' - Chelsea 'target' double forward signing before deadline

Chelsea are reportedly set to attempt to bring both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho to Stamford Bridge before the end of the window.

The Blues have enjoyed a productive summer so far, especially on the pitch, where they won the revamped Club World Cup in the United States.

There are a number of players who are surplus to requirements at the West London club, including former England star Raheem Sterling.

It is said that Chelsea are willing to accept loan offers for the attacker ahead of the close of the current summer transfer window.

Enzo Maresca's men commenced their 2025-26 campaign with a goalless draw at home against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea want Simons, Garancho?

According to The Standard, the world champions are set to be bold in their transfer plans before the window slams shut in a few weeks.

The report states that the Blues are pushing to bring Simons and Garnacho from RB Leipzig and Manchester United respectively.

There was a feeling that Chelsea could be in the market for one of the pair, however it is understood that they targeting the capture of both.

It is believed that the Blues need to make room in their first-team squad to facilitate the arrivals of Simons and Garnacho in the coming days.

As a result, the West London outfit are supposedly open to accepting offers for out-of-favour duo Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.

Chelsea is the desired destination

With the end of the transfer window fast approaching, Chelsea need to move quickly if they wish to seal the services of Garnacho and Simons.

The 22-year-old Dutchman has begun to cut ties with his current employers, removing RB Leipzig from his Instagram bio recently.

It is said that Simons has his heart set on a switch to Stamford Bridge, despite reported interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
