Report: Premier League clubs eye Martin Caceres

A report claims that Southampton, Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City will battle Chelsea for free agent Martin Caceres.

Southampton, Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City have all joined Chelsea in the hunt to sign free agent Martin Caceres, according to a report.

The 29-year-old is currently available on a free transfer after leaving Juventus at the end of last season.

It is understood that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is interested in linking up with the versatile defender once again, but according to The People, a host of Premier League clubs are also considering offers.

The Uruguay international has only made 23 first-team appearances over the last two seasons, but won five Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia crowns during his time in Turin.
