Report: Icardi to turn down Chelsea, Madrid

Mauro Icardi will reportedly not consider a move away from Italian football should he leave Inter Milan at the end of the season.

The Argentina international has been training away from the rest of his teammates for the past fortnight amid rumours that he has rejected the offer of a new contract.

Icardi has also been stripped of the captaincy and is unlikely to return from his three-week absence, which has been put down to a knee injury, when Inter take on Cagliari next weekend.

Real Madrid and Chelsea have been tipped to capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding the prolific striker's future by making a move ahead of the summer transfer window, but Il Corriere dello Sport suggests that neither club are being considered as options.

The 26-year-old instead wants to continue plying his trade in Serie A, it is claimed, meaning that Juventus and Napoli are favourites to sign him.

Juve have already confirmed their interest in Icardi, who has scored 15 goals in 28 appearances this season.
