Report: Chelsea plotting Scott Dann move

Chelsea have reportedly added Scott Dann to a shortlist of potential defensive summer signings.

It was well documented that the Blues pursued Everton's John Stones last year and they are said to remain interested in the England international.

However, it is believed that with Pep Guardiola's arrival imminent, League Cup finalists Manchester City now lead the race for Stones's signature.

As a result, Chelsea have been forced to consider alternative options, one of which is Crystal Palace's Dann, according to the Daily Mail.

The report adds that Palace value 29-year-old Dann, who signed a new deal until 2020 last July, at around £20m.

The Juventus pairing of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci are also thought to be on Chelsea's radar.
