Maicon a £6m target for Real Madrid?

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to bid £6m for Maicon in an attempt to beat Chelsea to the signing of the Brazilian.

Real Madrid have reportedly identified Maicon as a transfer target and are ready to bid £6m for the Inter Milan defender.

Maicon has recently been linked with a move to Chelsea but The Metro have reported that Jose Mourinho could bid for the Brazilian.

The 31-year-old has a year remaining on his current deal at the San Siro but the club's bosses have accepted that he will move from the club this summer.

Chelsea are eager to sign a right-back after Paulo Ferreira was made available for transfer and Jose Bosingwa was released following the expiration of his contract.

A possible move to Chelsea has reportedly stalled due to Maicon's contract demands.
