Real Madrid to launch a January bid for Chelsea's Ramires?

Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a January bid for Chelsea's midfielder Ramires after missing out on the Brazilian on transfer deadline day.

Chelsea are reportedly bracing themselves for a January approach from Real Madrid for their midfielder Ramires.

Last season's Champions League winners are believed to have failed with a last-gasp £25m bid on deadline day for the Brazilian, according to the Daily Star.

Real Madrid lost Xabi Alonso to Bayern Munich and Angel di Maria to Manchester United during the window, and their 4-2 defeat to Real Sociedad last weekend prompted a late attempt to bring in reinforcements.

However, their deadline-day bid was rejected and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be keen to keep hold of Ramires.
