Newcastle United are reportedly the first club to have submitted a formal offer to West Bromwich Albion for striker Saido Berahino.
A number of Premier League teams have been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old over recent weeks, including Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City.
However, none of those has put together a financial package, unlike the Magpies, according to Sky Sports News.
The report adds that Newcastle's bid is worth in the region of £21m and they are now waiting to hear back from the Baggies.
