Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho rules out Didier Drogba loan return

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho rules out a loan return for striker Didier Drogba.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out a loan move for Didier Drogba.

The Ivorian striker spent nine years across two spells playing for the Premier League giants, making himself the club's fourth all-time leading goalscorer.

Drogba is now playing for MLS side Montreal Impact and has scored 12 goals in as many matches, but despite being available from December to March, Mourinho is not considering a loan.

"Do you want me to compare the Premier League with the MLS?" Mourinho said in today's press conference. "Didier will always offer something to a club and the group that loves him and that he loves. No doubt about it, but will I bring him back? No."

Chelsea have struggled this season having won just three of their 10 Premier League games.
