Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt is reportedly open to a transfer to Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt is reportedly open to signing for Barcelona during the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been involved on a regular basis since his arrival in Turin two years ago, the centre-back making 76 starts and seven substitute appearances.

However, according to Calciomercato, the Netherlands international would not say no to moving to Barcelona at the end of the campaign.

The report claims that agent Mino Raiola has already informed the likes of the Catalan giants and Chelsea that De Ligt is unhappy with life at Juventus.

Despite having a release clause in the region of £135m, the Italian giants would not hold out for that fee should the player signal a desire to leave in 2022.

The player, who cost £67.5m in 2019, has just under three years remaining on his contract.
