Real Madrid to make January bid for Ashley Cole?

Real Madrid are reportedly lining up a January bid for Chelsea defender Ashley Cole.

The 31-year-old England international, who has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, will be a free agent at the end of the season.

Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is now stepping up his pursuit to bring the left-back to the Santiago Bernabeu, according to The Mirror.

Chelsea are thought to be keen on only offering Cole a one-year extension at Stamford Bridge.
