Chelsea's Frank Lampard 'opts for Los Angeles Galaxy over China'

Lampard 'to snub China for MLS'

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has reportedly edged closer to a move to Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy.

The 34-year-old, who is currently sidelined with a calf injury, has been heavily linked with a switch away from Stamford Bridge in the summer following reports that he was in talks with Chinese outfit Guizhou Renhe.

It is believed that the Blues have told Lampard that he has no future with the Champions League winners and while a switch to China is an option, it is understood that Lampard is tempted by a move to LA Galaxy, according to the Daily Star.

Reports have claimed that the US outfit are keen to secure a pre-contract agreement with Lampard in January.
