Fredy Guarin 'to hold talks with Chelsea'

Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin is to hold talks with Chelsea, according to his agent.

The 27-year-old midfielder has caught the eye of many this season, and has recently emerged as a target for the London club.

"I can confirm Chelsea's interest in Fredy," the player's agent, Marcelo Ferreyra, is reported as saying in The Metro.

"It's now up to the clubs to discuss a deal. We'll open talks once they have agreed terms. We have already been to London with Inter and met with Chelsea directors to make their interest formal."

Chelsea travel to the Emirates Stadium on Monday night looking to put their Capital One Cup defeat to Sunderland behind them.
