Report: Borussia Monchengladbach to make official offer for Andreas Christensen

Borussia Monchengladbach are set to make Chelsea an offer to sign on-loan defender Andreas Christensen on a permanent deal, according to reports.

Borussia Monchengladbach have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen on a permanent deal, it has been reported.

The 20-year-old sealed a two-year loan move to the Bundesliga outfit in 2015 and has since cemented his place in the side, being named as the club's player of the season last term.

According to Calciomercato, Monchengladbach are set to make an official offer to Chelsea to sign Christensen permanently, but Antonio Conte is said to have earmarked the Dane as a long-term replacement for John Terry.

Christensen has played 38 games for Gladbach, scoring three goals.
