FC Tokyo: 'Chelsea have made offer for Yoshinori Muto'

Chelsea have made an offer for Japanese midfielder Yoshinori Muto, according to FC Tokyo's president.

Reports in Japan have suggested that the Premier League leaders are interested in a £4m deal for the 22-year-old, but Naoki Ogane refused to confirm whether an agreement was in place.

"It is true that Chelsea sent us an offer for Muto," Ogane told Sports Nippon. "It is a formal offer with conditions. They want to acquire him in the summer"

Muto has made 10 appearances for Japan, scoring once.
